ISC International Spirits Challenge 2024: Goalong Single Malt whiskey won two gold and two silver medals in the World whiskey category. This recognition affirms the flavor appeal of goalong whiskey and the growing influence of Chinese whiskey on the global stage.
Goalong Single Malt whiskey Small Batch 2.0: This variant stood out among many excellent entries, winning the top gold award. This accolade is a testament to our team's dedication and the exceptional quality of our whiskey.
Fan Review Activity: In November 2023, we launched a fan review activity for goalong Single Malt whiskey Small Batch 2.0, distributing over 200 sample bottles and receiving numerous tasting notes and feedback.
In 2023, Small Batch 1.5 won a silver medal at the WWA (World whiskey Awards).
In February 2024, Small Batch 2.0 won a gold medal at the ISC (International Spirits Challenge).
Small Batch 2.0: At first nose, the aroma is sweet malt, light pear, soft sweet sherry, a little dried apricot and honey, softening the fragrant and elegant style, and in the fine taste, you can feel the delicate roundness in the mouth, with nutty barley and raisin flavors, and the overall impression of the body itself is solid and tense, relaxing and enjoyable, and then there is a medium-length, fruity, slightly spicy finish, which makes the overall experience sublimated.
Multi-cask blending is a great test of the artistry and sensibility of the bartenders at a distillery, and it took a lot of trial and error on the part of the Goalong Flavors team to achieve a good balance of flavors to move from a Bronze Award to a Gold Award today. During this time, we shared the product with our fans, discussing its strengths and weaknesses and how to improve it, and today's Gold Award would not have been possible without the support of Goalong's fans and friends along the way.
Local Flavors
Another award-winning release, Goalong Single Malt whiskey Chinese Brandy Single Cask is also our specialty. We moistened the STR Wine Casks with Chinese Xinjiang brandy and added new make for cask aging.
It's worth noting that unlike French Cognac, the Xinjiang Brandy for this rinsing was made from the unique Xinjiang Kashgar table grape, Munag. What flavors does it give to the new Gauland wine?
Goalong Brandy Cask Single Malt Whiskey: Between the floral and malty aromas, there are hints of elegant Xinjiang white grapes, with a slight almond flavor that lingers on the nose in the finish. With time, the tannin bitterness fades and the wine becomes smooth, with elegant floral and fruity aromas dropping into the mouth.
Developing the unique flavor of Chinese Brandy casks is a significant step in our local exploration. These awards remind us that while we have achieved much, the journey ahead is long. We remain committed to excellence, innovation, and passion in our craft. As we continue to participate in international competitions, we are more determined to produce quality local whiskey.
